Your data, your rights: export, takeout, and deletion in GLPath
In GLPath, every tracker you log — weight, doses, meals, side effects, photos, and more — can be exported as CSV, Excel, or PDF, bundled entirely via Takeout, or permanently deleted along with your account. None of your data is locked in one format or held hostage if you decide to leave.
CSV, Excel, and PDF
For a quick spreadsheet, export any tracker as a CSV file — free on every account, with no time limit on how far back it goes. Plus adds an Excel (.xlsx) export alongside it, along with custom date-range PDF report presets (30-day, 90-day, yearly, or a range you choose) for bringing a clean, printable record to an appointment. The free tier already includes standard PDF reports going back to the day you started.
Takeout: everything, at once
If you want the whole picture rather than one tracker at a time, Takeout builds a single zip file containing every row you've ever logged across every tracker. It's the same underlying data as the individual exports, just gathered into one download — useful if you're moving your records somewhere else, or simply want a complete backup that isn't tied to GLPath at all.
Deleting your account
If you delete your GLPath account, your data is removed from the live database immediately. It doesn't linger in an active state anywhere in the app. Short-lived backups are the one exception — rows can persist in those for up to 14 days before they age out completely, which is standard practice for recovering from operational mistakes rather than a way of holding onto your records. The full detail on retention, backups, and what "removed" means in practice is in the Privacy Policy.
Why this matters
A tracking app is only worth using if leaving it doesn't mean losing your history. GLPath's exports aren't an afterthought bolted on for compliance — CSV, Excel, PDF, and Takeout all read from the same logged rows you'd see on your own dashboard, so what you get out is exactly what you put in, nothing added and nothing missing. Whether you're switching apps, bringing a record to a new clinician, or just want a copy for yourself, the data underneath was always yours — these are just the ways to hold a copy of it in your own hands.
